Cayuga County DMV, DSS working to serve residents while office building is closed

  • / Updated:
  • Staff Report

Cayuga County agencies are finding temporary solutions to continue services while the county office building remains closed until the end of August.

County Clerk Brian Scanlan tells The Citizen he’s working on plans for his office and the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Residents are encouraged to mail their DMV transactions or use the state DMV website at dmv.ny.gov.

The county DMV’s address is 160 Genesee St., Auburn, NY 13021. The clerk’s office can still access mail, and the recording office is operating remotely. Questions can be emailed to [email protected].

The Department of Social Services advises residents needing help with programs like Medicaid and SNAP to call (315) 255-6272.
