The losses just keep piling up for the New York Mets as they were swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers in a doubleheader on Tuesday at Citi Field and fell to 22-32 on the season. The Mets dropped the opener 5-2 in 10 innings before getting shutout in the nightcap 3-0.

Tylor Megill tossed seven scoreless innings, and Francisco Lindor smacked a two-run home run, but the bullpen collapsed again, allowing five unanswered runs.
New York led 2-0 after seven innings, but Jake Diekman gave up a two-out run-scoring single to Freddie Freeman in the eighth, and Adam Ottavino allowed a game-tying bunt single in the ninth. After the Mets failed to walk it off, the Dodgers scored three in the 10th off Jorge López and held on for the victory.

Will Smith and Miguel Vargas crushed solo home runs, and Miguel Rojas drove in another run with a double as the Dodgers pitching staff held the Mets to just three hits and a walk.
Jose Quintana allowed all three runs over six innings of work.
The Mets will try to avoid the three-game series sweep on Wednesday at 4:10 p.m. David Peterson will take the ball for New York.
