Sheriff: Waterloo man possessed crack cocaine while incarcerated at Seneca County Jail

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reported that James A. Hennigan, 29, of Waterloo, was arrested on Tuesday at approximately 3:00 p.m. Hennigan was charged with Promoting Prison Contraband in the second degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree.

The arrest followed an incident where Hennigan, an incarcerated individual, was found with crack cocaine in his possession. Sheriff’s Investigators discovered the narcotics during a routine check at the Seneca County Correctional Facility.

Hennigan was arraigned at the Seneca County Centralized Arraignment Parts Court and remains in custody on unrelated charges.
