The Justice Center of the Southern Tier celebrated its grand opening on Thursday, following a successful initial operation phase earlier this year. Schuyler County District Attorney Joe Fazzary, who spearheaded the Center’s development, hailed the facility during the ribbon-cutting ceremony as a comprehensive support hub for crime victims.

Located at 320 West Main Street, the Center is designed as a welcoming space with various support services under one roof. These services include police interviews in a non-traditional setting, case preparation with prosecutors, therapeutic and legal assistance, and even emergency housing support. All services are provided free of charge, emphasizing accessibility and confidentiality for those affected by crime.
The initiative, driven by Fazzary’s personal experiences and commitment to victim support, has garnered significant community and political backing. Speakers at the event, including local and state officials, praised the Center for its potential to significantly aid victims and their families in the Southern Tier, ensuring they receive necessary help without financial burden.
