4-H Camp Bristol Hills was named one of the best summer camps in the United States for 2024 by Newsweek Magazine, a distinction shared with three other 4-H camps in New York State. Rated highly among over 15,000 camps nationwide, 4-H Camp Bristol Hills stood out in Newsweek’s top 500 list, researched in partnership with Plant-A Insights Group, which assessed camps based on a variety of factors including activities offered, camp safety, and staff-to-camper ratios.

This prestigious recognition reflects the camp’s commitment to providing a diverse range of programs for children aged 5-16. From day camps to specialty programs like Animation Camp and Adventure Week, Bristol Hills offers activities that cater to a wide array of interests, including archery, swimming, and crafts. Additionally, leadership programs such as Leader-in-Training (LIT) and Counselor in Training (CIT) are available for older campers.

The accolade comes as no surprise to parents and campers familiar with the camp’s impact. According to recent feedback, 88% of camper families observed that their children developed greater self-awareness of their skills, while 84% noted improvements in self-confidence and decision-making. 4-H Camp Bristol Hills is set to run from July 7 to August 9, 2024, with open houses scheduled for May and June, providing families an opportunity to explore the camp’s offerings.
