Nightengale, who brings decades of experience in higher education and community service, was sworn in this month. Pirozzolo, who has led the Auburn school district for nearly a decade, joined the board in late 2023. Both appointments were celebrated by Cayuga President Dr. Brian Durant and Board Chair Tony Franceschelli for their potential to contribute diverse perspectives on educational issues.

During their introduction, both new trustees expressed enthusiasm for their roles. Nightengale emphasized her commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, while Pirozzolo praised the college’s significant impact on local students and the community. Their combined experience is expected to greatly benefit the college’s mission and student body.
