Sabres keep slim playoff hopes alive with win over Flyers

Jack Quinn scored twice to help lead the Buffalo Sabres to a 4-2 home victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday night.

With the win, Buffalo (37-35-5, 79 points) is still alive in the Eastern Conference Wild-Card race with five games remaining in the regular season.


Tage Thompson tallied a goal and an assist, while Rasmus Dahlin also found the back of the net. Alex Tuch and Zach Benson each had two helpers.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 32 of the 34 shots he faced, including 24 over the final two periods.
