Yankees outlast Diamondbacks in 11 innings, start season 6-1

The New York Yankees capped off a seven-game road trip on Wednesday afternoon with a 6-5 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks in 11 innings to improve to 6-1 on the season.

Aaron Judge crushed his first home run of the season and had a run-scoring double. Alex Verdugo smacked his first home run as a Yankee, while Jon Berti scored a run on a balk.

Carlos Rodón allowed a pair of runs over 5.1 innings in his second start of the season. Ian Hamilton recorded eight outs and struck out four. Jonathan Loáisiga and Caleb Ferguson had scoreless outings, while Clay Holmes gave up three unearned runs.
