With injuries to Kodai Senga and Tylor Megill, the New York Mets have reached outside the organization for rotation help.

The Mets agreed to a Major League contract with veteran right-hander Julio Teheran on Wednesday, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

Teheran, 33, signed a minor-league contract with the Baltimore Orioles in February but did not make the team and opted out, making him a free agent.

The righty started his big-league career with the Atlanta Braves, where he spent nine seasons. Teheran also played for the Los Angeles Angels in 2020, the Detroit Tigers in 2021, the Mexico League in 2022, and the Milwaukee Brewers in 2023.

Teheran owns a 3.83 ERA over 1468.0 innings in the Majors.
