For the first time in school history, the Wayne boys basketball team is headed to the New York State semifinals.

The Eagles took down Section VI’s Williamsville South, 58-41, in the Class A Far West Regional on Saturday afternoon at Buffalo State College behind a 30-point performance from sophomore Cam Blankenberg.

Blankenberg scored 18 of his 30 points in the second half to help Wayne pull away for the win after leading by just seven at halftime.
