Lincoln School’s annual Valentine’s Ball, held on February 10, once again brought together 115 students, their families, and friends for a night of festivity and fun. Dressed in semi-formal attire, attendees from Pre-K through second grade enjoyed a warm winter evening filled with crafts, dancing, and family photos. The event, aimed at creating special memories, featured a gymnasium transformed into a dance floor and craft tables, with music curated by school social worker Rebecca Adams and intern Savannah Berry.
The highlight of the evening included a popular family photo station courtesy of Tiffany Hayes from Pixture It Photography of Newark. Alongside, attendees engaged in making Valentine-related crafts and cards for local nursing homes, honoring retired teacher Stephanie Joyce’s original idea for the ball. The “Sweetheart Dinner” in the cafeteria offered pizza, milk, water, and Valentine cookies, all at no cost to the families, thanks to the support of the PTA and local businesses.
Lincoln School Principal Kari Hamelinck expressed gratitude towards staff, PTA families, and volunteers for their role in making the event a success, highlighting the community’s involvement and already looking forward to next year’s celebration.
