Wayne Democrats endorse trio for state, federal seats

The Wayne County Democratic Committee has officially endorsed three candidates for key state and federal positions in the upcoming November elections. During a well-attended meeting on February 10, members threw their support behind David Wagenhausen for Congressional District 24, Scott Comegys for NYS Senate District 54, and James Schuler for NYS Assembly District 130.

David Wagenhausen, with his roots in the Brockport/Spencerport area and a background as a public interest attorney in Washington, D.C., aims to bring a fresh perspective to Congress. He is focused on uniting rural Finger Lakes communities by finding “common ground for the common good.” Scott Comegys, a repeat state legislative candidate and alpaca farmer from Palmyra, envisions transforming New York State into a place of prosperity, dignity, security, and justice for all. James Schuler, known for his work with the Youth Advocate Programs and community engagement, aspires to create a vibrant, inclusive, and empowered community in Wayne County.

These endorsements highlight the committee’s commitment to change and progress in the Finger Lakes region, emphasizing collaboration, rights protection, and community building. The candidates are united in their critique of past representation and their dedication to delivering real solutions for their communities. Voters will have their say on Tuesday, November 5, as these three candidates look to make their mark on New York’s political landscape.
