A house fire in Dundee, Yates County, required the response of multiple fire departments early Wednesday morning. The Yates County Sheriff’s Office reported that the emergency call came in at approximately 4:14 a.m., on January 24, alerting authorities to the blaze on John Green Road. Responding units included Dundee Fire and Ambulance, Himrod Fire, Penn Yan Fire, and Benton Fire Departments.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed flames emerging from the second story of the residence. Fortunately, all occupants of the home managed to evacuate safely and no injuries were reported. The fire teams worked efficiently to control and extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Yates County Fire Investigation Team. Further details will be provided as the investigation progresses. The safety and quick response of the fire departments prevented any casualties in this early morning emergency.
