Bristol Mountain welcomed a surge of skiers and snowboarders on Sunday, marking a significant turnaround following a warm December. The recent snowy weather and drop in temperatures allowed the resort to open more trails, a relief after a limited operation due to the unseasonably warm weather last month.
Officials reported an impressive turnout of around three thousand visitors. The resort’s ability to supplement natural snowfall with snowmaking led to excellent conditions for winter sports enthusiasts. Fuller noted the recent eight to ten inches of snowfall as a significant contributor to the improved skiing conditions.
The resort plans to open additional trails of their total 39 and continue operations through the first week of April, capitalizing on the favorable winter weather.
