Victor Town Supervisor Jack Marren recently spoke about the ongoing situation with the vacant Lord & Taylor space at Eastview Mall, following an appellate court appearance by Hudson’s Bay Company and town representatives.

The primary issue at hand is whether Victor can use eminent domain to acquire the vacant lot. Marren told RochesterFirst.com there is interest in the parcel, expressing optimism about the town’s chances of prevailing.

The town of Victor has proposed a plan to revitalize the space by bringing in two new tenants – a fashion retailer and a local grocer. Additionally, part of the lot would be leased back to the town for municipal use. Marren didn’t share specifics but mentioned that the design aims to boost foot traffic.

Meanwhile, Wilmorite, the mall’s management, confirmed they are already in talks with two potential tenants.
