In a recent Facebook announcement, the Bath Elks informed the public that their parking lot would be closed until further notice, starting from December 29. Patrons are advised to use an alternative parking lot across from the Central Hotel on Buell Street.

The area affected by the falling bricks has been cordoned off with caution tape and traffic barrels to prevent accidents and ensure public safety.

The concerning building, from which the bricks are falling, is not owned by the Elks but by an out-of-town property owner. This structure, located on Buell Street and easily identified by its boarded-up front windows, has shown signs of deterioration on multiple walls, including the back wall facing the Elks parking lot.
