Police arrested a Farmington man twice in a span of days on several charges after two incidents in Canandaigua.
According to a news release, Emmanuel Ellis, 25, was arrested for two counts of criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said Ellis shattered a glass door to make entry into another person’s apartment. While inside, he chased the victim and took their phone when they called 911.
The entire incident unfolded in front of a child, which resulted in the endangerment charge.
He was taken to the Ontario County Jail for processing.
Four days after the original incident – Ellis was arrested again on a felony count of criminal contempt after a disturbance at the same address. He’s accused of engaging in a physical altercation with a person protected by a court order.
Ellis was taken back to the Ontario County Jail for processing again.
