HP Hood, a leading dairy company, is set to expand its Arkport manufacturing facility to cater to the growing demand for its popular Heluva Good! dips.
The expansion will include a 2,400-square-foot addition to the existing plant at 25 Hurlbut Street. This new space is designed to house advanced dip blending and processing equipment, marking a significant upgrade in the company’s manufacturing capabilities.
Officials emphasized the expansion’s role in supporting the Heluva Good! brand, currently the top snacking dip in its category.
The groundbreaking for the addition is planned for January, with the new system expected to be operational by mid-2024.
This project, which is anticipated to create 3 to 5 new jobs initially, aims to strengthen the local economy and establish HP Hood as a preferred employer in the region. Rutter highlighted the benefit to local farmers, as the increased production will necessitate more milk, further supporting the agricultural community.
