Auburn property owner pleads guilty to felony sex charge

An Auburn property owner has pleaded guilty to seeking sex with an underage girl.

It went down in Cayuga County Court on Friday, as reported by The Citizen, when Anthony T. Bartolotta, 50, of Auburn, pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted rape.

The Class D felony stemmed from an arrest in June where Bartolotta thought he was arranging a sexual encounter with a 13-year-old, but was actually an undercover police officer.

Sentencing is slated for March 15, 2024.

Bartolotta, who manages several commercial properties with his family’s business around Auburn, was arrested with two other people over the summer.

Cases involving Brian Neilson, of Seneca Falls, and Daniel Miller, of Liverpool have not seen updates yet.
