The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Joshua A. Jones, a 30-year-old resident of Waterloo, on charges of second-degree harassment and attempted criminal mischief, a class B misdemeanor.
The arrest, made in response to a domestic incident, occurred in the early hours of November 18.
According to authorities, the incident took place around 2:00 a.m. in the town of Waterloo. Jones reportedly struck another individual in the head using various objects during the altercation. His actions prompted an immediate response from the sheriff’s deputies.
Following his arrest, Jones exhibited uncooperative behavior and attempted to damage a patrol car of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office while being transported.
Consequently, additional charges were filed against him. Jones is currently held at the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, awaiting a court appearance.
An order of protection has been requested for the victim of the incident.
