SAFETY MOMENT: Shorter daylight hours means need for greater caution

It is dark at the beginning and the end of each workday. Here at Seneca Meadows, we talk about having a laser focus on our path of travel and taking it slower during these dark hours of the workday.

We can all take these safe behaviors home with us and to also put these safe behaviors into practice:

  • Use high visibility clothing when near moving vehicles.
  • Provide ample time for eyesight to adjust to light conditions.
  • Avoid drowsy driving.
  • Always use headlights.
  • Be alert for pedestrians especially where pedestrian traffic is expected.
  • Watch out for animals.

November is also the most dangerous month for deer collisions.  Take it slow. Speed kills and we all want to get home safely.
