Sheriff Brian Schenck announced the arrest of Chad M. Taylor following a domestic incident that took place on November 2 in the Town of Sennett.

Deputies responded to the scene at Grant Avenue Road near Chestnut Ridge Road after receiving reports of the altercation.

During the incident, Taylor, a passenger in the vehicle, threatened to blow up the vehicle using a propane tank and lighter in the presence of another adult female.

This threat was particularly alarming as five children, ranging from under one year to 16 years of age, were also inside the vehicle at the time of the dispute.

After being taken into custody, Taylor was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and was later arraigned in CAP court. He was released on his own recognizance pending further legal proceedings.
