A man and woman were arrested in Wayne County following a response to suspicious activity in the Town of Arcadia. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Jamie Smith, a 50-year-old resident of Arcadia, and Laura Breen, a 40-year-old resident of Marion, on charges of second-degree criminal trespass.

According to deputies, Smith and Breen allegedly entered and occupied a vacant home without the owner’s consent, gaining access through a window. The investigation led to their arrest after the property owner reported the unlawful entry.

After their arrest, Smith and Breen were processed at the Wayne County Jail, where they were fingerprinted and photographed. Both were issued appearance tickets; Breen was released on her own recognizance, while Smith was transferred to the custody of the Rochester Police due to an active probation violation warrant.

The duo is scheduled to appear in the Town of Arcadia Court to respond to the trespassing charges at a later, unspecified date.
