Seneca Falls Police Department officers responded to a single-car property damage incident around 10:34 p.m. and identified Waugh as the driver.
An investigation at the scene revealed Waugh was under the influence of alcohol while operating the motor vehicle with a one-year-old child onboard. Although no injuries were reported and emergency medical technicians confirmed the safety of all parties involved as a precaution, the incident has led to additional charges.
Waugh is also being charged with Common Law DWI, operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08% or higher, failure to use a designated lane, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Following the incident, the child was safely released to relatives who arrived at the scene. Waugh was processed for all charges and is expected to be arraigned at the Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) Court at a subsequent date.
The Seneca Falls Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
