Calder, Lester Earn Top 5 Finishes

The Finger Lakes Community College’s cross-country teams concluded their run at the Mid-State Athletic Conference Championships at Corning Community College with notable results.

In the men’s competition, Zachary Lester recorded a time of 32:37.5, earning him a 4th place finish and All-Conference honors. Megan Calder (Victor, N.Y./Victor), a freshman on the women’s team, finished in 2nd place, clocking in at 24:32.5. This strong performance secured her All-Conference status; a promising start to the postseason for the freshman.

Both athletes’ achievements at the championships serve hopeful and give a sneak peak of what their performance should look like for the upcoming NJCAA Region III Championships on October 28th which will be hosted on the Bruce Bridgeman Course at Finger Lakes Community College.
