State police arrested a Hector man following an investigation into a one-car accident on County Route 14 in Catherine.
On October 16, Shane Jacobs, 40, was charged with DWAI drugs following the crash.
State police say Jacobs fled into a nearby wooded area and was eventually taken into custody after being located.
He was also found to be impaired by drugs at the time of the accident and failed field sobriety tests before being taken into custody.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
