A proposed 100-megawatt wind farm would place 14 to 16 turbines in Hector and Catharine, according to The Ithaca Voice.
Developer Bedrock Renewables says the project could generate enough electricity to power 24,000 homes annually.
Residents have raised concerns about views, noise, property values and environmental effects.
Hector has no zoning law or planning board, while a state office would oversee the project’s permit review.
The developer projects $21.8 million in local property tax revenue over 30 years if the wind farm is built.
