Four arrested after merchandise larceny investigation at Junius business

Deputies from the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrested four individuals on September 25 after a report of theft at a local business on Route 318 in the town of Junius.


The merchandise, valued at $1266.74, was reportedly stolen at around 4:09 p.m. The individuals, identified as Darcy L. Walker, Keira V. Freeman, Jamesha Stith, and Akeryonna A. Sawyer, all from Syracuse were apprehended without incident and brought to the Seneca County law enforcement center.

Following the investigation, Walker, Sawyer, and Stith were charged with grand larceny and conspiracy. Freeman was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and conspiracy.

New York State Police assisted the Sheriff’s Department in the apprehension of all four.
