An intense fire erupted early today around 3:30 a.m. at a residence located at 8401 Briglin Rd. in Hammondsport.
Several fire departments, including those from Pulteney, Hammondsport, Prattsburgh, and Bath, promptly responded and worked tirelessly to contain the aggressive flames.
The collaboration between the various departments was crucial in managing the situation, preventing further escalation.
Two occupants were inside the home when the fire began, but fortunately, were able to evacuate without any injuries.
The prompt response of the fire departments and the immediate evacuation of the residents were pivotal in averting any potential harm or fatalities. However, the fire left considerable damage in its wake, including three vintage cars which were completely melted due to the intense heat.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
