Wayne County man killed by alleged drunk driver in Rochester

Early Tuesday morning, Gene Kulp, 51, of Red Creek, was tragically killed in Rochester when he was hit by a minivan.

According to the Rochester Police, Kulp had parked his tractor-trailer on Lexington Avenue and Curlew Street due to a possible mechanical issue.

While inspecting the issue, a minivan struck Kulp, pinning him against his vehicle and resulting in his death. The minivan’s driver, 53-year-old Jeff Eden, remained at the crash site.

Authorities have since charged Eden with vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.
