Ontario County, recently a seller’s market with homes selling over three percent above the asking price, is seeing a collaboration to address the housing crunch.
The Rochester Home Builders’ Association and Buffalo-based Marrano Homes announced a partnership to construct homes in Farmington, aiming to provide affordable housing options.
During a recent press conference, a representative from the association emphasized the need for such developments, not only for young families but also for senior housing, allowing seniors to transition in their real estate journeys and freeing up properties for new entrants.
Local officials were also given a tour to better understand the homebuilding process and its associated challenges.
