Cayuga County economic development leader suddenly resigns

The Cayuga Economic Development Agency (CEDA) finds itself on the hunt for a new executive director for the second time in just over a year.

The Citizen reports that Michael Miller, who took over the role in July 2022, has departed from the agency, a move confirmed by Kevin Miles, chairman of CEDA’s board of directors.

While Miles described Miller’s exit as “amicable”, Miller expressed shock at his dismissal, telling The Citizen that the departure was anything but mutual.

Miller was seen at recent county meetings, adding to the surprise of his exit.
