The Lyons Rotary and the Lyons Erie Canalway Greeters are set to sponsor their annual “Fun on the Erie Canal Weekend” this August, offering narrated cruises along the historic waterway.
Scheduled for August 26 and 27, 2023, the event includes two 35-mile cruises and a shorter 12-mile excursion.
All cruises, accommodating up to 50 passengers, will be equipped with a cash bar and lavatory. Departure locations vary, with some cruises setting off from the Lyons dock at 23 Water Street and others from the Stivers Seneca Marina in Waterloo.

Pre-cruise shuttle bus services are available for passengers of the long cruises, facilitating transportation from their parked cars to the cruise departure points.
Tickets range from $25 for the 2.5-hour local historic Erie Canal Cruise to $80 for the longer 35-mile journeys which pass through 6 locks over 2 canals. More information and ticket purchases can be found at www.fingerlakeswateradventures.com or by reaching out to Rotarian Keith Bridger or Lyons Greeter Bob Stopper.
