Ted Young was exclusively nominated at the Democratic party caucus held on July 26 to run for a spot on the Waterloo Town Board.
Young, a former village mayor, will contend for one of the two Town Board seats in the upcoming general election, currently held by Republicans Bob Lotz and Mike Pfeiffer.
Both are seeking re-election.
The Waterloo Democrats, however, did not propose candidates for the second Town Board seat, town justice, or the position of tax collector. The general election is scheduled to take place on November 7.
