The Oneida Nation revealed a sweeping $370 million expansion plan for Turning Stone Resort Casino on Friday.
The project, dubbed “The Evolution,” will nearly double the size of Turning Stone’s convention and conference space, making it the largest convention center in New York State.

The expansion will also include the addition of a luxury hotel, The Crescent, a high-end seafood restaurant, an employee and guest medical center, and a parking garage to double indoor parking capacity. Significant renovations of the resort’s current hotel and lodge are also planned.
Oneida Nation Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter expects the development to attract conventions and visitors from across the nation.
In addition to enhancing Oneida County’s profile in sports, entertainment, and tourism, the project is anticipated to boost the local economy by an additional $610 million and generate $22.1 million in state and local tax revenues. It will also create 3,400 temporary jobs during the construction phase, and 1,300 permanent positions once completed. Construction is set to begin early next year and the two-year project will be the largest expansion in the resort’s 30-year history.
