Friday’s series opener between the New York Mets and Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park was suspended in the middle of the fourth inning due to rain, with New York leading 4-3.
The game will resume Saturday at 2:10 p.m., with the regularly scheduled game pushed to 7:10 p.m.
New York fell behind 3-0 in the first two innings but battled back and grabbed the lead, thanks to two-run homers by Brandon Nimmo and Daniel Vogelbach.
If the Mets win both games Saturday, it will be their second-straight series win.
