Mega Millions jackpot soars to $720 million, marking fifth-largest game in history

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot continues to grow and is now confirmed to reach an estimated $720 million for the Friday night drawing.

This follows another draw on Tuesday without a grand prize winner, making this the largest jackpot since the last win in April. According to Mega Millions, the current prize is the fifth-largest in the history of the game and has an estimated cash value of $369.6 million.

Despite no grand prize winner from Tuesday night’s draw, eight tickets still landed a significant windfall. These tickets, sold in California, Florida, Maryland, New York, Ohio, and Rhode Island, matched all five white balls, resulting in a second-tier prize of $1 million for each ticket holder. The numbers drawn on Tuesday were 19, 22, 31, 37, and 54, with a Mega Ball of 18 and a 4x multiplier.
