Deputies say a Lyons woman was arrested on two separate occasions within a short timeframe for reporting a false incident.
Here’s what the sheriff’s office reported about each:
On Saturday around 10 p.m. Julia Wirth, 51, was arrested for falsely reporting a fire. It’s alleged that Wirth pulled the fire alarm at 64 Water Street, activating emergency services- because she had locked herself out.
Wirth was arrested and taken into custody for processing.
Later that night, Wirth was arrested for falsely reporting an incident after an investigation where she pulled a fire alarm at the Wayne County Social Services building located in Lyons.
The building was unoccupied at the time, but Wirth’s actions led to the fire department being activated.
She was processed and released on an appearance ticket.
