Mark Canha, Carlos Carrasco lead Mets to series win over Phillies

Mark Canha drove in four runs, and Carlos Carrasco tossed six strong innings as the New York Mets (29-27) picked up a 4-1 series-clinching victory over the Philadelphia Phillies (25-30) on Wednesday night at Citi Field.

Canha crushed a two-run home run in the third inning, his fourth of the season, and smoked a two-out, two-run single in the fourth. Carrasco allowed just one run over six innings while striking out four.

Brooks Raley, Adam Ottavino, and David Robertson had scoreless outings to secure the win.

Max Scherzer will take the ball on Thursday as the Mets look to complete the three-game sweep.
