What happened in Saturday’s Class B1 final between Palmyra-Macedon and Hornell will be talked about for years to come.
With Pal-Mac trailing 5-4 and down to their final strike in the bottom of the seventh inning, Hornell’s catcher dropped a called third strike and never tagged the batter or threw the ball to first base to complete the final out, which resulted in the batter racing around the bases to score the winning run.
