North Seneca Ambulance asks for donations as operational costs skyrocket

North Seneca Ambulance needs help.

While it looks for funding from towns in the north end of the county, a letter went out to residents served by the ambulance company asking for contributions.

Currently, financial support is generated by ambulance calls. That revenue falls short of covering operating expenses, which has resulted in a scenario that threatens the entity moving forward.

Last year, North Seneca responded to over 3,800 calls.

“As a private, non-profit organization, NSA is mainly supported by internally generated revenue, which falls short of covering our operational expenses,” the mailer read. “Therefore, we are seeking your support through donations to continue providing round-the-clock access to advanced life support emergency medical services to our community.”

They say any contribution- big or small- can go a long way to help them remain operational.
