North Seneca Ambulance needs funding from towns in Seneca County

The Fayette Town Board is deliberating a request for financial support from North Seneca Ambulance Inc. for their 2024 budget.

In the board’s May meeting, it was revealed that the Waterloo-based ambulance service seeks financial backing from the northern towns of Seneca County, namely Waterloo, Seneca Falls, Fayette, Tyre, and Junius.

According to Supervisor Jeff Trout, the funding share for Fayette would amount to around $74,000.

The board is considering various options, including the creation of a townwide district with a separate line item to finance this critical service.
