Auburn residents will soon be able to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine as Costa Grande, a new Mexican restaurant, is set to open just ahead of Cinco de Mayo.
The eatery will be located at the former Munchies site in Grant Avenue Plaza, Sennett.
Co-owned by Pedro Alonso and Roberto Lazaro, Costa Grande aims to offer a blend of traditional Mexican dishes, such as enchiladas and burritos, along with modern twists and a focus on seafood options.
Alonso, who is also a partner at Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant in Syracuse, believes that the growing Hispanic population in Cayuga County, up 30% since 2013, makes it an ideal location for their new venture. Lazaro, an experienced chef, will lead the kitchen, ensuring a delectable dining experience for local residents.
