A 36-year-old Arkport man, identified as David W. Dale, has been arrested by state police on charges of falsifying business records and criminal impersonation stemming from an incident that occurred on March 1.
During a traffic stop on State Route 63 in the town of Wayland, Dale provided identification belonging to another person, leading to the traffic tickets being issued in the name of the unsuspecting individual.
The arrest took place on April 24, following an investigation into the incident by the authorities.
In addition to the felony and misdemeanor charges, Dale has also been charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic-related infractions. He was transported to the Steuben County Jail for CAP and was remanded without bail.
