Deputies say one Buffalo-area man was taken into custody on a felony charge after violating a court order in Seneca County.
Around 9 p.m. depuites were approached by the protected individual who informed them that Andrew LaPorta, 37, of Orchard Park was present on the premises despite being legally prohibited from doing so.
Upon further investigation, deputies discovered that LaPorta had remained on the property despite knowing the protected party was there. Authorities were able to locate LaPorta on the premises and took him into custody without incident.
It was also revealed that LaPorta had previously violated the order of protection and was convicted of criminal contempt on March 4 in the Town of Hamburg. Due to the nature of the violation, LaPorta was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where he was held for arraignment.
