WATCH: Mets starting pitcher Max Scherzer ejected for sticky substance on his glove

Max Scherzer’s start against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday afternoon was cut short after the right-hander was ejected due to what umpires claimed was a foreign substance on his pitching glove.

Scherzer, who had to change his glove in the previous inning, seemed to be telling the umpires that the substance was actually rosin and sweat, which is legal.

This is Scherzer’s fourth career ejection and third with the Mets.
