The New York Yankees placed outfielder/designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day Injured List with a left hamstring strain, the team announced Sunday morning.
Stanton will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury, per manager Aaron Boone.
Infielder Oswald Peraza was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to fill the roster spot.
Stanton is hitting .269/.296/.558 with four home runs and 11 RBIs in 13 games this season.
