The New York Mets (9-6) used a late rally to edge the Oakland Athletics (3-12), 3-2, on Saturday evening to win the series.
Oakland took an early 2-0 lead, but the Mets scored the final three runs of the contest, including two in the seventh inning to secure their third straight win.

Mark Canha tied the game at two with his second long ball of the season. Later in the same inning, Brandon Nimmo ripped a go-ahead double, and that stood as the difference in the game.
Carlos Carrasco tossed five innings of two-run ball while striking out three. Drew Smith, Brooks Raley, Adam Ottavino, and David Robertson combined for four scoreless frames.
The Mets will try to sweep the three-game series on Sunday at 4:07 p.m. Jose Butto, who was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse, will get the start on the mound.
