Deputies: Auburn man taken into custody after failing to appear in Junius court

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reported that an Auburn man was arrested on March 24, 2023, after he failed to appear in court for a scheduled hearing on a petit larceny charge.

Lawrence A Atkins, 46, was taken into custody at approximately 7:53 p.m. by deputies who executed a bench warrant issued by the Junius Town Court.

Atkins was held to await his appearance in court, and it was not immediately clear when his next hearing would take place.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Auburn Police Department for their assistance in the arrest.
