Egg prices are finally coming down across the U.S.
It took months, but experts say egg prices have started coming down. The average price of a dozen large, white Grad A eggs fell more than 60 cents between January and February.
However, experts say prices are expected to increase again soon.
Egg prices are still expected to increase 37.8% in 2023.
Earlier this week, Dollar Tree announced that they were halting the sale of eggs altogether because of the wild swings in prices.
For reference, the price of eggs in March 2022 was $2.05 per dozen. A year earlier it was $1.63. Now, the average price sits at $4.21 with expectations of prices climbing further.
